Forest Industries Intelligence

The Timber Trade Snapshots provide a visual summary of timber supply into each EU Member State. Each Snapshot shows the value and quantity of EUTR-regulated timber products imported by the EU Member State. For each EU Member State data is provided on the proportion of forest products imports from partner countries according to levels of corruption, national income,  commitment to the FLEGT VPA process, and level of exposure to certified forests.

The Snapshots were part of a project to deliver statistical data in support of the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR). They were prepared by Forest Industries Intelligence Limited for the European Timber Trade Federation (ETTF) and Timber Trade Action Plan (TTAP) with financial support from the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the European Union. The baseline year for the Snapshots was 2012. More details are provided in the Snapshot Technical Notes and in the Annex on Programs Delivering Verified Products.
